October has arrived in the bakery, and it has brought pumpkins, cosy treats, and just the right amount of Halloween mischief with it.

Hayley has been busy buying pumpkins, the counter is getting a seasonal makeover, and the ovens are full of autumn flavours. This week, there is an extra reason to pop in: free samples of pumpkin cake are available all week for customers to try when visiting the shop.

There are also two pottery painting evenings coming up this month, with the first taking place on 15th October and the second on 22nd October. Between Halloween bakes, pumpkin cake, and creative evenings in the shop, October is shaping up to be a lovely one.

Halloween has landed in the bakery

Halloween in a bakery is one of the best times of year. The colours are richer, the flavours are warmer, and there is something fun about seeing cakes, biscuits, and treats take on a spooky seasonal twist.

This October, the bakery is celebrating with Halloween themed bakes that bring together the comfort of autumn baking and the playfulness of the season. Think pumpkins, warm spices, cosy slices, and treats that feel just right for darker evenings and chilly days.

It is the sort of season that suits a bakery perfectly. A hot drink, something freshly baked, and a counter full of tempting autumn colours can make even a grey October day feel brighter.

Hayley’s pumpkin haul has helped set the mood too. The shop is embracing everything Halloween, from the bakes to the decoration, and there is a real feeling of excitement building ahead of the pottery painting nights.

Free pumpkin cake samples are available all week

The highlight this week is the chance to try pumpkin cake for free when you come into the shop.

Pumpkin cake is one of those bakes that sums up October beautifully. It is soft, comforting, and full of autumn character. It has enough sweetness to feel like a treat, while the pumpkin gives it a gentle warmth that feels perfect for the season.

If you have never tried pumpkin cake before, this is a lovely chance to give it a go. If you already know you like it, even better. Pop in, have a taste, and enjoy a little seasonal sample while you are choosing something from the counter.

The samples are available all week, so there is no need to wait for Halloween itself. Whether you are calling in for your usual favourites or just passing by, ask about the pumpkin cake and enjoy a taste of October.

Pottery painting begins on 15th October

October is not just about the bakes. The shop is also getting creative with the first pottery painting evening on 15th October.

Pottery painting is a relaxed, hands-on way to spend an evening. It is sociable without being rushed, creative without needing any special experience, and perfect for this time of year. Sit down, choose your colours, enjoy the atmosphere, and make something that feels personal.

The first evening on 15th October will be a lovely chance to welcome people into the shop for something a little different. Whether you coming with a friend or family it is set to be a warm and enjoyable night.

The bakery setting makes it feel even more inviting. There is something especially cosy about painting pottery surrounded by the smell of baking and the glow of autumn decorations.

Pottery painting evenings bring a creative touch to October.

A second pottery painting evening follows on 22nd October

If the first date does not suit, there is another pottery painting evening on 22nd October.

Having two dates gives more people the chance to get involved and enjoy a seasonal evening in the shop. It also keeps the Halloween feeling going throughout the month, rather than saving everything for the very end of October.

Here are the key dates to keep in mind:

There is no need to be an artist to enjoy pottery painting. The fun is in choosing colours, making something your own, and spending time doing something different. A wobbly line or unexpected colour choice can end up being part of the charm.

It is also a lovely idea for an autumn catch-up. Instead of just meeting for a quick coffee, you can sit together, paint, chat, and leave with something you have made.

Why October feels so special in the shop

Some months suit a bakery more than others, and October is definitely one of them.

There are pumpkins by the door, comforting bakes on the counter, and a sense that everyone is ready for warm flavours again. Halloween adds a playful edge, but the heart of it is simple: good baking, friendly faces, and moments that feel a bit more seasonal.

This month brings together three things the bakery loves:

  • Fresh seasonal baking

Halloween treats and pumpkin cake bring autumn straight to the counter.

  • A warm welcome

Free samples are a chance to try something new while visiting the shop.

  • Creative community evenings

Pottery painting on 15th and 22nd October gives people a reason to gather, relax, and enjoy the season.

That mix is what makes October exciting. It is not just about Halloween day. It is about the build-up, the decorations, the flavours, the cosy evenings, and the little treats along the way.

Pop in for a taste of Halloween

The bakery is ready for everything Halloween, and October is already off to a delicious start.

Come in this week to try a free sample of pumpkin cake, take a look at the Halloween themed bakes, and enjoy the seasonal feel in the shop.

There is plenty to look forward to, and we cannot wait to welcome you.
